CUPERTINO BIKE CLUB T-SHIRT SALES FUNDRAISER FOR WORLD BICYCLE RELIEF

Hey there everyone! Cupertino Bike Club is selling club t-shirts again this year! This year’s design is made by the amazing David Won! Instead of making profits just for our club, we’ve decided to change it up a bit. All the profits made from these t-shirt sales will be donated to a non-profit organization.

The non-profit organization that we have chosen is called World Bicycle Relief. They have working facilities in 12 African countries. What this organization does is puts a bicycle in the hands of an un
derprivileged African person, representing an enormous leap in productivity and access to healthcare, economic development opportunities, and most importantly, a better education.

Most students often have to walk from 4 to 6 hours a day to attend school and return home. With a bicycle, the time needed to transport from home to school will be greatly reduced and they will have a better chance in succeeding in school. With 1/4 of their day already invested in just GOING to school and other jobs they have to do in order for their family to survive, students often cannot complete a full education. Also, girls that attend school are always in great risk of getting raped because of the long journey they have to take everyday.

With your help, we could give a bicycle to an African child or adult that needs it, and improve their lives profoundly. Please buy our bike club shirts for only $15 eachALL the profits made will be given directly to World Bicycle Relief. This is also their Annual Appeal period (November 1 - December 31) where every donation will be directly put into bicycles.

Our goal is to be able to donate at least 3 bikes for this organization. This is a total of $402. We cannot do this without help. The more shirts that are bought, the more profits will be made and donated.

Order forms will be passed out at Cupertino High School; please find our Bike Club officers for one. If you aren’t from Cupertino High School but is still interested in supporting us by buying one, please contact me via e-mail (information will be posted below).
The organization’s website is: http://worldbicyclerelief.org/ and you can see their video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XnQdPYk390&feature=plcp

The t-shirts will be produced from American Apparel, so if you’re wondering if our shirts are made from child labor, they are not.
The official Facebook event is here: http://www.facebook.com/events/443094619082905/.

If you have any questions or concerns, any of our Bike Club officers will be happy to speak with you or you can email us at: cupertinobikeclub@gmail.com

Please help us by reblogging, liking, and sharing this post with your friends!

Thank you.
